It’s clear that fans are craving for more Fallout, following the success of TV series all games saw a massive nuclear jump on Steam charts.
The show premiered on April 10 to amazing critic scores and absolutely captivating audiences. Bethesda Game Studios has also thrilled fans with two significant announcements recently to coincide with the show:
Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update: After much anticipation, the long-awaited next-gen update for Fallout 4 is finally on the horizon. Scheduled for release on April 25, this patch will enhance the game for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. It brings native applications for the consoles, Performance mode, Quality mode, and 60 fps gameplay. Even players on previous-gen consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) will receive stability improvements and quest fixes. PC gamers can look forward to widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, along with fixes to the Creation Kit and various quest updates.
Fallout 76 Update: Not to be outdone, Fallout 76 also received a substantial update. Bethesda continues to breathe life into this post-apocalyptic multiplayer experience, ensuring that players remain engaged and excited.

Nuclear Charts
Fallout 4 saw the biggest jump on charts, but Fallout 76 got all-time high concurrent users.
Here’s 24 hour peak concurrent users compared to those in March:
Fallout 4 – 83,491 / 25,702

As the Fallout universe expands across screens, fans eagerly anticipate new games set in the post-nuclear-war universe. Todd Howard, who was also executive producer on the show, has confirmed that Fallout 5 will be the next game they do after The Elder Scrolls 6, so if in the mean time other studio doesn’t take the mantle it will most likely be around 10 years til the next game arrives. He has also recently revealed they already have an idea for the next game.
