Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Dragon Age: The Veilguard receives Fall 2024 release window with an in-engine cinematic, ahead of its gameplay reveal on June 11. It will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

BioWare and Electronic Arts showed first look at the game with an in-engine cinematic at the Xbox Showcase, focusing on seven unique companions, all from different factions.

Harding: The Scout
Neve: The Detective
Emmrich: The Necromancer
Taash: The Dragon Hunter
Davrin: The Warden
Bellara: The Veil Jumper
Lucanis: The Mage Killer

Friendship, drama, and romance will be one of key parts of the game. Players will be able to befriend, but also romance the companions, regardless of gender.

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as the name implies, players will assume a role of Veilguard whose job is to protect The Veil. Players can play as Human, Elf, Dwarf or Qunari, as both male and female.

Last installment in the franchise, titled Dragon Age: Inqusition, released 10 years ago in 2014, which has been crowned game of the year. BioWare has since then put out Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem, both receiving a mixed reception, but they have also released a fantastic remaster collection Mass Effect Legendary Edition. BioWare aims to create an immersive and their biggest singleplayer RPG yet, and we will get an idea of what that looks at tomorrow’s gameplay premier.
