Microsoft has officially announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be launching day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft will have a special Xbox Games Showcase followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct on June 9, 2024, at 10am PT, where they will share even more details on what’s coming in this all-new Call of Duty. Get eyes on the first in-depth look at gameplay in this dark new chapter of the Black Ops series.
No mention of previous Call of Duty games coming to the subscription service, but more news would be expected at the showcase.
It’s currently unknown on which platforms will Black Ops 6 launch, but it’s expected it will be on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as old-gen consoles including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Microsoft has to launch Call of Duty games on Nintendo consoles in the future, but that most likely won’t happen until next console, presumably Switch 2, launches as the current Switch is simply not powerful enough.
Multiple sources have reported that there would be Game Pass tier changes and price increases soon, but Microsoft doesn’t mention any of that, so it seems like Call of Duty will be available on all Game Pass tiers.
